CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS
Apar India Foundation, brain-child of Mr. R. K. Jain, President of India Awardee, renowned educationist and social activist, working in the field of Vocational Education and Skill Development organized a Career Counseling Session for the Government School Students. The Career Counseling session was organized with a view to enlighten the students with the various career options available after XII. The session was conducted by Dr. Aradhna Sharma, renowned psychologist and Career Counselor along with Ms. Sudha Rajagopalan, Assistant Director, Apar India and Career Advisor. Addressing the students, Dr. Aradhna Sharma, motivated the students to start thinking out of the box and explore the various possibilities like Agricultural Sciences, Actuarial Sciences and Law instead of the usual traditional courses. The students were also briefed about the importance of Time management, Communication Skills and Soft Skills. Ms. Sudha Rajagopalan, enlightened the students about the benefits and options available for the students if they wish to pursue the Vocational Courses. She explained that Apar India in association with Tata Institute of Social Sciences – SVE, Mumbai is providing Work Integrated Training Programs like B.Voc (Bachelor of Vocational Edcation) which is proposed by the Ministry of HRD and propagated under the aegis of AICTE & UGC. It is a regular UGC recognized 3 year graduation program which would make the students “Graduate with Experience” instead of just being “Fresh Graduates” after completion.
