Proud to be an Aparian
Apar India has illuminated my career path through the Vocational and Skill Development Programs!!
I am Manak Takkar, and I was pursuing B.Com 1 yr from SOL after completing 12th with 60% from a Convent School. My father is an Advocate and have two elder brothers – who are academically brilliant. The elder brother is settled in Dubai and the other brother has completed B.Tech and is searching for a job.
I had completed one year of higher education through open learning and I realized that when students completing their B.Tech were not getting jobs then my chances of job after completion of my degree from Open Learning were negligible
It was then, that I heard about Work Integrated Training Program being provided by TISS-SVE in association with Apar India, Sector -8, Rohini. I visited Apar India and I realized that here was my chance to get a UGC and AICTE approved 3 year regular degree, where students had to go for internship 5 days a week and attend classes on weekend and the best part is that the fees of the course is not very high and is affordable.
Once I joined Apar India, I had to undergo rigorous 5 days a week Communication Skill and Personality Development Classes. These classes were a boon in disguise as we were absolutely raw and as a matter of fact were terrified and intimidated by the Corporate world. Apar India groomed us, conducted mock interviews, took us for industrial visits to take the fear out of us and all these were provided to us for 4 months and that too free of cost!
Apar India has tie-ups with various renowned organization be it of National or International repute. They arranged interview sessions with these companies. At first I failed to clear the interview but I finally overcame my fear and got selected in the company Silaris as Client Coordinator. I am handling the clients of Makemytrip.com
Today I have a permanent job with an annual CTC of nearly 1.5 lakh and earn incentives as well. I have been able to perform well and have even been awarded the “Rising Star” Certificate by the organization. There have been months when I have performed excellently and have taken home incentives, the amount of which is more than my actual salary.
My relatives, father and brother are at awe that I have already landed up a lucrative job whereas my brother who has completed B.Tech from regular college is not working till now.
My joy knew no bonds when I was able to gift a cheque of Rs.40000/- to my father asking him to buy a bike for my elder brother so that he could commute comfortably.
The transformation that I have undergone is actually visible in the eyes of my parents, siblings, friends and society in general who now see me in a whole new light and that too with lots of respect and pride!!! It has all been possible because of Apar India’s efforts!!
